In this poster (20" x 20"), I broke down the individual domains in this viral protein we've all heard about and the new variants. There is an actual reconstruction of the S gene mRNA and a 3D image of the variant receptor sites. The orange square has both the nucleotide sequence aligned with the translated amino acid sequence above the codon showing how a single base substitution gave rise to an entirely different amino acid! Great for students trying to make sense of the pandemic!
