I began as a traveling music teacher in 1976 and became a math teacher in 1985. I have taught in Michigan, Alabama, and California. I was the Math Department Chair at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies in Los Angeles, California for 15 years. I retired in June, 2014 to work on a book on how to teach math.
