Shhh! Student's love encoding their spelling words with this activity! Students create their own secret code alphabet and use it to spell their spelling words. This activity will reinforce memorization of spelling words and give students a creative opportunity to encode and decode the words. This multi-digit multiplication assessment was originally written for 4th grade, and meets Common Core Standards at this grade level, though it would also be a great review or pre-test for 5th graders.
