About the store
Hi! I’m a passionate special education teacher with over 15 years of hands-on experience working with students with autism and a wide range of abilities. I started my journey as a paraprofessional, where I fell in love with the world of special education. That experience inspired me to pursue my teaching degree, and now I have the incredible privilege of leading a junior high Life Skills classroom. Junior high can be a tough time—but it’s my favorite age group. I thrive on helping students grow not just academically, but socially and emotionally, too. Whether I’m designing visuals that actually work, creating routines that support independence, or finding new ways to connect with my students, I bring energy, empathy, and creativity to everything I do. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support—and I’m really good at figuring out what that support needs to look like. My resources are classroom-tested, student-approved, and made with love (and plenty of trial and error). Thanks for stopping by!

I usually color the "wait" signs yellow or print them on yellow paper and the "unavailable" sign red. I laminate and then put Velcro on the back of them. When something is unavailable (including people) the sign goes up. If the students need to wait their turn they are handed a "wait" sign. When it is their turn, the wait sign is taken from them.

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in positivity, patience, and genuine belief in every student’s potential. I focus on proactive, respectful behavioral supports and emphasize positive reinforcement over discipline. I’m constantly on the lookout for the good—those small wins, kind gestures, or moments of progress—and I make sure my students know they’re seen and celebrated. Whether it's through consistent routines, meaningful praise, or personalized supports, I work to create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel valued, capable, and motivated to grow.
