Teaching multiple classes during a day can make it difficult to notify each student when they have a required ZAP (Zeros Aren't Permitted). To streamline the notification process, I have created little slips to hand to each student, so they remember and know which assignments are expected to be finished. Students have access to their online gradebook, but this notification slip seems to help students finish the required work. We also email (or call) home to guardians when students attend ZAP.

This is a chart to keep on a clipboard on your desk each day. As students rotate through your classes each day you can put student names of this absent, tardy, etc. on one side and you can briefly jot down what each hour accomplished. This is for a middle school on a schedule based on hours, but it can be adapted to fit other schedules and classroom levels as well.
