This project is inspired by History Alive! and is to be completed at the end of the ancient India unit. Students work in groups to create a palm leaf book that includes the following: book cover, a map of India, 5 pages that discuss topics covered in class (for example: Hinduism, Buddhism, caste system, Gods, the Gupta Empire, etc.), and a glossary. The file includes an overview, scoring guide, a group planning sheet, and templates for the palm leaf book.

Students create an accordion book that discusses what helped and discouraged unit in ancient China. Topics are geography, philosophy, government, trade, achievements, and social structure. The file includes instructions, scoring guide, and a brainstorming chart.

Students work in groups to create an illustrated timeline for the five major groups of Early Humans: Australopithecus afarensis, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Homo sapiens neanderthalensis, and Homo sapiens sapiens. This is a final project for Mesopotamia. The file includes a description, scoring guide, and planning worksheet. This is a group project that requires the students to create their own civilization using the characteristics of a civilization.

Students work in groups to create a pyramid of information. Each side of the pyramid will detail one important concept about Egypt (religion, daily life, pharaohs, and accomplishments).
