The McGraw-Hill Reading Wonders Kindergarten curriculum is divided into ten units. This document is a quick reference for seeing all instructional lessons for the school year. I have included the following: strategies, genre/topic, high frequency words, letter of focus for handwriting, writing trait, grammar lesson, phonemic awareness focus, and skill.
I use this behavior sheet with students who have behavior goals in special education. They monitor their behavior with an adult and earn iPad time. This behavior sheet is used for positive reinforcement.
I fill this document out for each of my students and take this with me to their parent-teacher conference. This is especially nice if we run out of time and don't have a chance to discuss what I have observed in the special education setting.
This is great for using with students who have special needs as they can show what they have learned about animals in their general education classroom science class.
This schedule/behavior plan allows for the student to self-montior their behavior and independently follow a schedule. Both digital and analog times are included to assist students who do not tell time independently.
I have my students progress monitor their reading levels. I keep this document in their data binder. They love being able to track their own reading progress!
As a special education teacher, I often spend Back-to-School night in my classroom with rarely a student visitor. I put these cards on their desks and they are reminded to visit me as well!
I modified the classroom assessment to better meet the needs of my student with special needs.
