I fill this document out for each of my students and take this with me to their parent-teacher conference. This is especially nice if we run out of time and don't have a chance to discuss what I have observed in the special education setting.

About the store

Experience

I just began my 12th year of teaching special education!

Teaching style

Humor is an effective way to grab student attention, build trusting relationships and teach students that learning does not always have to be serious.

My own education history

I graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education: K-12. I finished all but an internship in a master's for Vocational Rehabilitation and an emphasis in rehabilitation counseling.

Additional biographical information

I have three wonderful children and an amazing husband. They keep me grounded and remind me that family always goes first no matter how much I love my job as a teacher.
