The TI84 calculator has many built in functions that are never used. This document is designed to be a quick tutorial on how to use many of the most useful ones. All of the functions can be found by going through the CATALOG (2ND 0). Dolbear theorized that the temperature can be computed by counting the number of times a cricket chirps in 15 seconds, and then adding 40 for the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. For example, if a cricket chirped 20 times in 15 seconds, Dolbear theorized that would mean that the outside temperature was 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Find a linear equation that relates cricket chirps to degrees Fahrenheit. Use N for number of chirps and F for Fahrenheit.
