This is a great tool to help special educators gather needed information on students. It can be used to help in the development of annual IEPs or for initial evaluations. I use it to develop present levels for all of my resource students prior to IEP meetings.

These coupons can be used to recognize good student behavior. The packet includes 10 different themes and includes space for stickers for 10 days (or 2 weeks) of positive behavior. I use a sticker chart in my resource room and find that students are very motivated by earning stickers. Once the cards are filled, the students can visit the treasure box, earn computer time, lunch with the teacher or any other preferred activity.

Once completed, the paragraph will include a topic sentence, 3 detail sentences, 3 sentences which offer supporting details, and a conclusion sentence. About the store

Experience

I am a 13th year teacher currently teaching in a resource classroom at a primary school (K-3) in Phoenix, AZ.

Teaching style

My teaching style is one of patience and understanding. I must meet the individual academic needs of each student and use direct instruction with a multisensory approach to lesson planning. It is always wonderful to help these students reach their goals and experience success!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Silver Apple Award awarded May 2010 by Channel 3 TV and Ace Air. A true honor because I was nominated by one of my 8th grade students!

My own education history

I earned my BA in Special Education from Arizona State University in 2005. I went on to earn my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading from Grand Canyon University in 2007.
