Students choose two mini projects to complete. I used this project as a wrap up to a unit on muscles and skeletal system. Students are given the opportunity to choose their own projects and direct their own learning.
I often have students who need timelines for long term projects or help to break down large assignments into parts. This helps my students to organize their work each day, and make a plan to complete the work. They also reflect on their daily efforts.
Help students track their grades and missing assignments. They also graph their grade below. It is a great visual representation of grades each week of the quarter.
Students respond to "help" letters asking advice on job and work related issues. Student use their knowledge of job skills to address issues in the work place.
Students use a menu from a local restaurant to choose meals and apply a tip and tax towards their total. Students learn to add up a guest check for various types of dining scenarios.
