This file contains a dice game: Roll, Read, Color for 3 Letter S-Blends. It also contains a quick check assessment to check students' ability to read words with 3 letter s-blends.

This is a great activity for students to practice adding money as well as finding change back. There is a restaurant menu and order tickets. I have students take turns being the customer and the waiter/waitress. They love it! I have them add the items to find the customer's total and then have them find change back.

This is a Kagan structure (All-Write Round Robin) where students take turns answer questions for their group, all recording the answers on their own page. It covers the 3rd grade standard of putting commas in addresses (L.3.2a,e,f,g).

This is an activity to help students practice their inference skills. It includes a graphic organizer and 5 different mystery letters. This file contains vocab posters for the entire book. Each page contains a word, definition, and a picture. Prefixes and Suffixes are included as some of the vocab words. Chapters are grouped based on a week's reading/vocab. Vocab tests for these words are included in my "Because of Winn-Dixie Chapter Tests" file.

This is a free write poetry project on the topic of dreams/aspirations (you could change the topic). It includes the project insturctions, scoring rubric, brainstorming organizer, and final draft paper. I am using this project with my students for The America Library of Poetry's National Student Poetry Contest.
