Two sets of worksheets to help students understand how decimals and fractions are related.
The first set (4 pages) takes students through 0.1 to 0.9 and their equivalent fractions in hundredths, tenths and fifths. It then gives students practice in relating basic fractions (half, quarter, three quarters) to decimal equivalents.
The second set (2 pages) revises basic fraction/decimal equivalences and extends the concept to twentieths. This could be used for progression or differentiation.

Number squares with multiples of relevant table blanked.
I use them laminated and allow the student to write in the missing multiples using a dry-wipe pen and also to say the times table, pointing to the missing multiples as s/he goes along. The student can practise repeatedly with other numbers there as "cues". I then take away the grid and ask the student to imagine the multiples on the grid. It works really well for some students, especially strongly visual learners. As an added bonus, the c

A worksheet to practise caculating percentages that are not multiples of 5%.
It demonstrates how to divide by 100 then multiply by the percentage to find the amount. Then it provides lots of basic practice in the technique. It could be used as part of an introduction to the technique or for homework or revision.
Two double-sided worksheets to help explain fractions. This will be particularly useful to slightly older students who have not fully grasped the concept in earlier years. It covers fractions of shapes and fractions of numbers.
Students need to already be familiar with 3, 4 and 5 times tables and understand the basic concept of division.
The first two pages give symbol and verbal "clues" on which to hang the meaning of the word "fraction". They shows the meaning of the numbers in a fraction an
