About the store
I've been teaching/tutoring going on 10 years now! I've been in public education for about 6 years and have done some form of homeschooling/tutoring for the rest of the time. Most recently, I was a Special Education teacher in a third grade classroom at a charter school. I am certified to teach general and special education 1-6 and literacy B-6, but have experience tutoring/teaching for all grades. My heart is at the elementary level and high school math, but really I just love to help kids learn and grow!

About the store

Experience

I've been teaching/tutoring going on 10 years now! I've been in public education for about 6 years and have done some form of homeschooling/tutoring for the rest of the time. Most recently, I was a Special Education teacher in a third grade classroom at a charter school. I am certified to teach general and special education 1-6 and literacy B-6, but have experience tutoring/teaching for all grades. My heart is at the elementary level and high school math, but really I just love to help kids learn and grow!

Teaching style

I really believe in a collaborative style of teaching; more brains are always better than one, which is why I joined TPT in the first place. I am a huge advocate for social/emotional learning because without rapport and empathy, there is no learning. I focus on meeting children where they are and helping them grow from there.

My own education history

I went to SUNY Geneseo for my undergraduate degree and then Mount Saint Mary College for my Master's degree.

Additional biographical information

I'm an expecting first-time mom living in Buffalo, NY with my husband and dog. I currently tutor remotely and love the flexibility that gives me to help students and other teachers.
