I made this personal space/ space bubbles social story to send home with a client who struggled with personal space and body awareness (specifically with family and hitting, licking/touching without asking). It can be read in therapy and sent home to use for support. It uses the 1 arm rule and cognitive strategies to recite in head to keep personal bubbles safe. BONUS: You can also work on FM skills and have the child cut up and assemble story with you & personalize it by writing in their name
Good for social skills groups or feeding groups, or just in general teaching children about table manners and what is expected/unexpected at the table. Students are to role-play "unexpected" behaviors and discuss what is happening, how they feel (eg. uncomfortable, disgusted), and what to do instead.
