About the store
Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a secondary math teacher with 10+ years of experience teaching 7th grade, 7th-grade accelerated, and 9th grade. My passion is creating discovery tasks that engage students and build deep conceptual understanding. Discovery tasks are my favorite because they have a low floor (anyone can get started!) and a high ceiling (students can explore at deeper levels). This flexibility makes differentiation easier and helps meet the diverse needs of learners. I firmly believe that combining discovery tasks with thoughtful class discussions and guided notes allows every student to thrive. Have a question? Feel free to reach out—I’ll do my best to respond within a day. Happy teaching!

Daily Warm-up Sheet

This product is a great way to help students stay organized and accountable for answering a daily “warm-up” question. They simply write in the date and answer the questions of your choice. Print double sided and three-hole punch so that students can keep it in a binder. Have students turn in the sheet after all the boxes are used up.

Teaching style

Here’s how I structure my lessons: 1. Investigate: Students explore a standard through a discovery task. 2. Solidify: We discuss findings as a class and take notes to reinforce understanding. 3. Practice: Students apply what they’ve learned through activities or assignments. I believe the best way for students to learn math is by doing math! They need opportunities to think, explore, and persevere through challenges to truly understand mathematical concepts.
