For two warm-ups, students need to choose between options and use their own reasoning to decide which choice is a pseudo science or proven science. The third warm up is an independent research and analysis of a choice article. Easy to implement and super fun to get students sharing ideas and thinking about the process of how the world uses science!

Experience
I am a 5th year 7th and 8th grade science teacher. My content covers a basic introduction of biology/life science and physics with chemistry.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Nominated for NEW Outstanding Teacher of the Year in Fairfax County Public Schools (19-20) as a second year science teacher. After being nominated I won the voting process for our school and then our districts feeder triangle but the process was halted due to COVID-19 when schools shutdown.
My own education history
I graduated from Towson University with a major in Middle School Education (grades 4-9) with a concentration in Science and English. Recently, I graduated with my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (K-12) from George Mason University.
