Experience

I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in literacy. I am currently a homeschool teacher. My dual teaching experiences in traditional schools and as a homeschooler allows me to provide effective, standards-based learning that is engaging and whole-child focused.

Teaching style

I believe in meeting students where they are, both developmentally and academically. I am a proponent of differentiated instruction in the classroom and believe that all students have unique needs that should be nurtured. A combination of the right material + student engagement can lead to a magical classroom experience!   As a homeschooler, I currently teach with a unit study approach. My units are largely literature based, multiple modalities, and designed with student engagement in mind. My resources in TPT reflect a balance between the standards-based learning of traditional schools and the implicit learning that happens in a homeschool.
