Vocabulary recording sheet. Students can record definitions, examples, pictures, etc for each of their vocabulary words. Print as many pages as you need for your weekly word list. Each sheet has space for three words, if you need more simply change the numbers on the lefthand side to account for your wordlist.

Students will take detailed notes about important people and their contributions during the War of 1812. Then they will cut out pieces and place them in order to create a timeline of events from the War of 1812. Hope they enjoy!

Students will pick one of the founding fathers and research via 3 different websites to write down quick facts. Then you could have students create a presentation or I have them make a "fakebook" page which is a facebook profile lookalike.

This activity has three headings (the same as, more than, less than). I currently have this set up for the number 16...but since it's a word document you'd be able to edit it to meet your level. I use one of these each week to review. Never let them forget :)

I use this sheet during our small group reading time. This allows students to choose their activity while I work with students in the back of the room. I usually spend about two weeks practicing each skill all together to build their stamina. You can edit the activities to fit what you are doing that week as well.

I use this with my 6th grade science class. I print one copy at the start of the year and they keep this copy in their binder so they can always access the format and rubric as they are writing up their lab notes. Seems to work pretty well for us! Hope it helps you too!

Students will listen to 2 podcasts (4 to choose from) about the future of transportation. They will respond in writing by completing title, summary, reflection, and concern/question. My class completed this during our flight/space unit to continue the discussion about the future of transportation. They enjoyed the variety in activities. It can be hard to remember all of the accommodations and modifications when we teach multiple sections in a day. I made a summary chart that I fill out at the start of the year and then print one page per section so I can always refer back quickly. This has helped me to be ahead of the game when it comes to getting students what they need, when they need it! Maybe it will help you too!!

Teach your students what a flashback is and how to write their own.

Each day I record the date, lesson title, objective, agenda, and homework on the front board of my room. I then have an early finisher record this on the "absent summary form." I keep these sheets in the back of my room in a binder. When a student was absent I require them to check the binder before they come ask me what they missed. This helps them to have a basic understanding of what we did the day prior. I also keep worksheets in a file box in the back as well. This has been a huge time sa

These prompts help students with vocabulary supports. I usually complete one together and then let them work on the remaining two.

When a student doesn't turn in his/her work they must fill one of these out. This way when you're grading, there is still a sheet for them. There is nothing worse than trying to determine who is done and who is not.

Students will respond to a question prior to leaving the classroom. They will explain why mass and weight don't mean the same thing. Collect these on the way out the door as a quick check for the learning objective. I assign 3 points to these kinds of exit questions. Easy to check and identify where students are at. Weekly reading log for students to track their reading.

This fill in the missing piece chart will help students to learn the ways we say and read decimals. This lesson covers tenths and hundredths. I have always used it for our interactive math notebooks. But it could be just a worksheet as well.

Students must identify what cause and effect are as well as break down a few examples. They will also write their own examples with the provided sentence frames.
