Vocabulary recording sheet. Students can record definitions, examples, pictures, etc for each of their vocabulary words. Print as many pages as you need for your weekly word list. Each sheet has space for three words, if you need more simply change the numbers on the lefthand side to account for your wordlist.

Students will take detailed notes about important people and their contributions during the War of 1812. Then they will cut out pieces and place them in order to create a timeline of events from the War of 1812. Hope they enjoy!

Accommodation & Modification Summary Pages

It can be hard to remember all of the accommodations and modifications when we teach multiple sections in a day. I made a summary chart that I fill out at the start of the year and then print one page per section so I can always refer back quickly. This has helped me to be ahead of the game when it comes to getting students what they need, when they need it! Maybe it will help you too!!

When a student doesn't turn in his/her work they must fill one of these out. This way when you're grading, there is still a sheet for them. There is nothing worse than trying to determine who is done and who is not.

Mass vs. Weight Exit Question

Students will respond to a question prior to leaving the classroom. They will explain why mass and weight don't mean the same thing. Collect these on the way out the door as a quick check for the learning objective. I assign 3 points to these kinds of exit questions. Easy to check and identify where students are at. Hope this helps you too!

Additional biographical information

Another passion of mine is classroom design. With the amount of time we spend in our classrooms, it certainly should be a space you LOVE to be in. If its not...we need to change that! Have fun with it! Your kiddos will appreciate the time and effort too.
