Teaching style

I integrate an assortment of authentic hands-on, lab and investigative experiences for my students along with visual inquiry based Power Points; reinforcing activities; labs; applied sciences; including math extensions and local science issues. Engaging reviews, activities, and "fun science". I believe in providing students with learning opportunities through hands-on labs and activities that allow them to reflect on and make sense of the science phenomena or principle.

Academic Achievement Award: Life Sciences. Graduate program diploma with distinction. Member Graduate Women in Science: Sigma Delta Epsilon. Member/Research Associate IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC).

Biology: 2 years course and clinical work in Health Sciences; Bachelor of Science (biology); Graduate courses and research based graduate work in biology, conservation and education; State Certified Secondary and Intermediate School Science Educator; State Licensed Science Teacher 5-12.
