I have been a fifth grade science teacher for 14 years for Broward County Public Schools in Florida. I hold a valid 1-6 Elementary certificate and am certified to teach middle school science grades 5-9. In addition, I hold a valid National Board certificate. I have written the science curriculum for fifth grade for Broward County Florida (the sixth largest public school system in the United States) and have been a science trainer for the county. I have also published lessons for CPalms and have written science test items for the state of Florida.

This worksheet (or test) has students differentiate from weathering and erosion. Plant Reproductive Organ Quiz
This quiz focuses on the reproductive organs of the plant. Students will be shown pictures of stamen, pistil, anther, ovary, and spore and they must write the name and function of the organ. There is a word bank at the bottom of the quiz that displays the organ's name and a separate list for the organ's function.

Life Cycle Variation Mini - Report
Students will make a mini -report that demonstrates their understanding of the life cycles of various organisms.

The quiz contains 25 questions. It has one short answer question, 3 multiple choice questions, 10 fill in the blanks where students choose from plant organs LEAF, STEM, XYLEM, ROOTS, and PHLOEM. Line Plot Graph
This worksheet or quiz has two parts. In the first section, students will make a line plot graph and answer questions about beads of various necklaces. The masses of the necklaces are in fractions including 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4 grams. Teaching style
Science needs to be fun! If taught correctly, students will look forward to the daily science lesson. Teachers should use a variety of learning styles when teaching science. A typical science lesson should involve a small amount of lecture or reading accompanied with a hands-on and critical thinking component.
