Having taught middle school for 19 years now, my teaching experience is still evolving. In the beginning, teaching 8th grade English was a challenge. The English credential got me the job, but teaching science is where I needed to be. After four years a position opened and a dream came true. Since then it's all about Life Science. Teaching style
Teaching with a heart AND brain is my teaching style. In the spirit of a "grandmother" patting her grandchildren on the back saying, "good job!". I find my style is changing with the times. Students in my class are moving around and experiencing many different venues; I use a traditional classroom, we have a science lab, a garden lab, a computer lab and go on field studies.
