Students will create a 3D cube to learn the 6 aspects of observation step of the scientific method while building classroom community by introducing themselves through their favorite observations. The cube can be later used as an anticipation set when beginning science lessons by rolling it as a dice to revisit and practice the scientific processing skills to call on students to answer one of the 6 aspects of observation. The cube can also be used to later guess which student the cube belongs

I originally created this lesson to introduce Science as an important subject to learn for any career in that everyone uses the scientific method. However, this V.T.S. lesson reaped a cornucopia of benefits in drawing out critical thinking skills and challenging my students to provide evidence for their reasoning which is a common core standard for science. Included is a collage of 15 career pictures, example of V.T.S. reflection product, and student hand outs to conclude the V.T.S. discussion
