Experience

After 21 years of teaching, I retired! Now I am still enjoying substitute teaching at my local schools. I love being in the classroom because it keeps me relevant and up to date on best practices in education. Teaching was my second career.. my husband and I still make and sell educational puzzles for kids.

Teaching style

I have to admit--I'm a little bit crazy! It's 8th grade, and Rule Number 1 is "Keep Them Awake"! We play lots of games, sing crazy songs they love to hate, and work our tails off! I'm also very much about Project Based Learning where kids are self-directed and fully engaged with their projects. If I'm working harder than they are, something's wrong!
