About the store

Experience

Christine Bonk is a first grade teacher from Northeast Ohio. Christine has 30+ years of experience teaching in the elementary and intermediate classrooms. She is trained in Add Vantage Math Recovery (AVMR) which assists in diagnosing and advancing student understanding and numeracy development.

Teaching style

Having taught grades K, 6 and 1st for most of her career, primary (K-2) math is now her passion. Using the AVMR Assessment tool, she looks for ways to close the gaps she sees in her students' learning. She tries to create activities and resources that are engaging, yet developmentally appropriate.

My own education history

Christine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both obtained from Kent State University.
