About the store

I have four teaching certifications: early childhood, early childhood special, elementary, and collaborative education. I am also a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) certified by the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA). I currently teach resource and inclusion special education at a public, rural, elementary school in Alabama. I believe that all people can learn to read when given appropriate instruction.

This colorful graphic organizer provides a visual reminder of how to apply the order of operations. With concise descriptions, this is an accessible graphic which could be used as a classroom poster or given to specific students. If using this graphic as a visual for a lesson, a teacher could activate students' prior knowledge by comparing the graphic to the classic game of hopscotch ("hop from the top to the bottom, with some steps happening at the same time!").
