These 2D shape task cards are perfect for your kindergartners and only include the basic shapes (circle, rectangle, triangle, and square). They are not your average pattern block cards but use simple 2D shapes with your young learners in mind - I use them for my ELL early kindergartners (preschool age) to begin thinking creatively when building shapes and naming the four basic shapes. Included in the packet are 14 task card composite shapes, task cards in 2 sizes, ink saving black and white card

Teaching style

Every year I am growing and changing, adapting to the needs of my class. I use a variety of approaches and try to differentiate as much as possible. I teach my math using a rotation schedule meeting with a high, medium, and low group daily and I supplement my reading basal with an additional readers' workshop. My self-paced spelling sight word program helps me to differentiate and push my students to be better readers and writers.
