This series of question stems provides structure for teams and Professional Learning Communities to engage in Inquiry and curious conversations. Place this handout in the centre of the meeting table for team members and facilitators alike to draw from, practising the art of asking deeper questions about practice and student learning.

This lesson is designed for students in grades 4-6 and asks them to explore ideas of mass. They use a mathematical formula and measuring tools to calculate the mass of everyday objects, whilst learning about the solar system in a fun context. Included in this pack are both coloured and black-and-white masters of the recording sheet as well as a suggested plan for implementation.

Traditionally used within the classroom, the parking lot provides a record of actions that need to be addressed and minuted, but don't require discussion within the meeting they have been brought up in. It helps members of the team feel as if their specific queries have been considered and will be addressed at a later date and frees the team up to complete the real purpose of their meeting.
