Throughout this project, students will choose a scientist from a list and learn about them, making comparisons to themselves. This is a great way to give students exposure to some prominent scientists that they may not already know. This project will require students to do research on a scientist and you will also learn about your students in the process. This would be a great project any time you get a new group of young scientists and this could be a great way to practice presenting in fron

Experience

Teaching style

I really focus on building relationships in my classroom and trying to get my students to be excited about science! Curiosity and Inquiry take the lead so that students have the desire to want to learn.

My own education history

I grew up in California and after graduating high school I got my Bachelor's degree in Natural Science with a Biology Emphasis from Fresno State. I recently finished my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction for Science Education from the University of Texas at Arlington.
