I had such a hard time finding a number of the day activity that had multiple levels and gradually increased in difficulty as students mastered skills. My students did this as a warm-up and they loved being able to pick what number we worked on each day. The paraeducators I work with have been fantastic with giving me ideas and feedback to improve them and I would love for you to try it out and tell me what you think as well!

Students read the number on the cloud and add the raindrops underneath. Works on number recognition and 1:1 correspondence.

Use the 100's chart to cross of the numbers that don't fit the clues to figure out the number.

Students match numerals to graphics and words. Great for intro to check writing.

For students who are starting the transition to multiplication... making a connection to repeated addition.

Students match groups of equations to numbers on an answer card.

Students practice counting objects and matching it with a number. Works on 1:1 correspondence and number recognition.

Match the number to its word and expanded form.

Print and cut apart the 100's chart Tetris-style and have students put them back together again. Great for number recognition and numerical ordering.

**Newly updated** Create a simple, useable math bulletin board to practice the date and basic number comprehension. Includes a half-page worksheet for students to complete as a warm-up each day. It could also be used as a math center. It generally took my students about 20 minutes, but may take less in a general education class.
