Dear Teachers, I hope you will adapt this activity to best suit your needs. Students categorize pastimes and hobbies and then answer teacher questions, so this activity works for remote or in-person learning. The teacher-student oral questions should be scaffolded beginning with simple questions. *To create your own copy of a Google Slides presentation, please click: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1y_dvsFg1eRGYIyfcfoGxitB8AHbedyStjUMmoSHzF0s/copyPrep: none Description: Categorizing a

Teaching style

She believes that learning a language should be fun and teaching it must be joyful, while the lessons and activities are always ACTFL standards-based. When teaching soft skills such as leadership and character, she uses a variety of teaching strategies and resources that meet the students where they are and personalize the learning objectives. She co-taught a course called The Culture of Respect, at Drexel University, where she applied educational theories in order for students to learn difficult social emotional concepts through discussion (social constructivism) and storytelling. Her Master's thesis at UPenn was "Discourse in the Classroom." She has adapted some of these ideas for her course, "A Crisis of Leadership: Building Character & Integrity."
