Experience

I graduated from Marian University in Indianapolis Indiana and completed student teaching in the Indianapolis public schools and charter schools. I will be teaching my 9th year this year as a high school mathematics teacher. I completed my masters of education at University of Cincinnati and I was able to earn my administration licensure as well. I have taught various courses at the high school level including applied algebra, algebra I, geometry, honors geometry, probability and statistics, business mathematics, and Project Lead the Way courses.

Teaching style

I want to provide my students with many in class practice problems so that they can ask any type of questions that may occur during homework problems. I want notes to be structured but challenging to all students. I like to have notes and in class problems all in one packet directed by verbal explanations or a presentation. I think that if students have a structured layout and visually appealing design, they will be able to complete the homework with confidence and be able to ask detailed questions.

My own education history

I earned a bachelors in secondary education bachelors and mathematics from Marian University. I earned my masters from University of Cincinnati in education with a concentration on a principal licensure.

Additional biographical information

I have a passion for teaching and getting to know my students and their abilities as an individual. I believe that if a teacher knows their students, then there is a greater opportunity for success academically and socially for each student!
