Students will find this open-ended task of designing a swimming pool interesting and engaging. They must meet certain area specifications and figure out how much fencing they will need to use. Student answers will vary.
This was meant to be a "Scoot" game where each child is at a designated spot with a question. The teacher sets a timer for 1-2 minutes and when the timer goes off, everyone says "SCOOT" and moves to the next station. These can also be used in various ways as task cards or flash cards.
