Summarizing Strategy Somebody/Wanted/But/So/Then First Page - Use as a poster/teacher copy. Demonstrate the strategy while reading a story. I like to laminate the poster and use sticky notes to fill in each section as you read a story with the class. Second Page - Student copy. Print and have student complete as they read their individual stories.

A easy way to have students practice addition, subtraction and multiplication skills using a deck of cards. I laminated the papers so students could write their answer with whiteboard marker. You can also put the paper in clear sleeve which also works with a whiteboard marker.
