Simply Math

I asked our third graders for suggestions for helping them review fractions and this was their idea: a two page comic book that features one of their favorite foods, PIZZA! A pizza is divided and divided to review halves, quarters, and eighths. Choose color or blackline images that students can color. Choose to print with text or have students add text. Use a powerpoint to introduce the sequence of images or copy and paste from the presentation to use the images in another way in your classroom

A quick and easy way to review computation, geometry, probability, number sense, and measurement. I've used this in a variety of ways: with individuals or teams of students at the start of our math class or as a challenge for my capable students. You might use it for distance learning. A great way to review many different math skills - especially before a holiday or vacation. Students tally the colors of M&Ms in a bag.
