This worksheet has students draw different levers, label the fulcrum/force/effort, and tell which class of lever it is. I usually lay out the different items for the students to examine and play with. This is completely optional. You can just show pictures of the different items or not show pictures at all! If you are like me, I get really frustrated when a worksheet says "Multiplication Word Problems" at the top. The students know that every problem will require them to use multiplication. Some of my students need a lot of work with trying to figure out if multiplication or division must be used. That's why I created this worksheet. There are 6 problems, but there are two questions for each problem, so really you could grade this as if it had twelve problems. THIS IS AN EASY TO GRADE SHEET!

This is an article about water turbines in the UK. It includes several questions. It's great for anyone studying natural resources, alternative energy, and wind/water power. It is also great for doing cross-curriculear activities with science in a reading/language arts setting.
