Sixth Grade Math with Mr G

This includes 30 sets of math review. I use it as an entire year's worth of curriculum resource. Math review is used to practice the concepts that were learned the week prior and to develop good reading and writing skills in math students since story problems tend to be a difficult area for most math students.

Students are given the area of a table written as an expression with two terms, one of which contains a variable.  Students need to determine the GCF of the two terms to find the width and use the Distributive Property to find the length and correctly label the table.  No story problem. Students are given the cost of a meal.  They must find the cost of tax and tip, the final cost and the change given.  This includes adding, subtracting and multiplying decimals.  A second question gives students the amount of tax paid and the tax rate.  They must divide decimals to find the original cost.
