Addition Number Partners Five Through Ten- Building Number Sense
I use this Smart Notebook file to teach addition to first graders and improve basic number sense.
You can use this in small groups or with the whole class. Students manipulate the objects to learn addition facts and build number sense.

Experience
I have been teaching for 11 years. I taught four years of Third Grade, four years of Fourth grade and I am currently in my third year teaching First Grade.
Teaching style
I like my students to be hands on and minds on all the time. I am a very positive person who creates a happy, safe and structured learning environment. I try to incorporate movement every 20-25 minutes throughout the day to keep the students healthy and engaged.
