About the store
I am a speech language pathologist who recently left the school setting to (gulp) try private practice. My experience is in: early childhood developmentally delayed (ECDD), language impaired, CI, EI, ASD, articulation, fluency. I especially enjoy working with low-or-non verbal children. I co-taught our kindergarten general education music class (ASD inclusion), and incorporated visual tools on a regular basis. I saw an increase in participation, imitation, and speech production in my ASD students, and the visual communication tools benefitted regular-education peers as well, as they often clamored to see and use the boards. The ASD kids got a chance to actively participate in the class by making visually supported choices/comments etc.

Visual Communication Board: Five Little Pumpkins
Use with students on the Autism Spectrum, language impaired preschoolers, cognitively impaired students or other non-or-low-verbal children. I believe in teaching language in context, and using hands-on activities, literature, music and movement whenever possible.

Master's Degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Wayne State University. BA in English and Family Life Education Secondary Education, Western Michigan University.
