Star Student Family Letter

I created these letters to go home with students at the start of "their month". I decided to do a student of the month this year as I have such a small class at the Catholic school I am at. I did list dates for the current school year on here (I am working on a new version that would be editable - I am also working on a version of these that would be more for a student of the week, rather than the month). The dates for their special treats are coordinated around breaks as much as I could so real

I have a small second grade class this year and I wanted to do something extra special for my class. Instead of a "student of the week", I chose to do a "student of the month". I focused on making each award card themed to the month. (I do work in a Catholic school, so these do have a couple of small pictures in reference to major Catholic holidays for a couple of the months - a version without these is coming soon!!). This includes the months of October to May (the other version will include al

Here are daily report sheets I created with preschoolers in mind. They are half sheets and would need to be cut down the middle (after copies would be made obviously).

I suggest laminating and using a spinner in the middle. In my classroom, I actually originally made this from a paper plate and a clasp and a Popsicle stick. It's a great way to break from the day's routine. We love singing silly songs such as 5 little speckled frogs, baby bumble bee, or some holiday related songs. The kids also love showing off the tricks they can do (cartwheels, somersaults, back bends, etc.) If you don't know the Jump up and Down song, we clap and sing their names...for examp

This is a short little writing activity to use after reading a story about friendship. Since my class isn't writing on their own yet, I write what they say and then they draw a picture to match.

This is a fun way to review shapes with my preschoolers. Each page has 2 boards on it for a total of 5 boards (the last page also has all the shapes together to be cut out and used as flashcard). I have mine laminated so they last longer. These work best in small group centers (since there are only 5 boards). Whomever fills up their whole board first is the winner.

There are 13 pages and it includes all the letters. I have cut them in half and laminated them. The kids can then use dry erase markers to circle the correct lowercase letters to match the uppercase at the top of the paper. With them being laminated they are reusable for centers during the day.

I created these gumball machines that are "filled" with sight words. I have mine in dry erase sleeves. The idea is the students can use dry erase markers to color in a gumball that matches the sight word on the base of the machine. I use these sight words because they are the ones we use at the center I work at for our preschool rooms. There are 10 pages all together.
