What's Up in Space? - distance learning option

I created this slide show all about space for my 6th graders. They worked on it in school at the time and worked together for some of it. They could absolutely do this at how though as either a homework option or a distance learning option. There are passages and videos throughout the slideshow with a question or two to answer for each slide. This could also be used as extra reinforcement during the space labs from the new lab books. Also included: answer key, so you know basically what informat

Practice the Scientific Method

I created this activity to go along with the slideshow I created for the steps of the Scientific Method. This is used for my middle school students. I based this activity on one we did last year, knowing we already did that one. However, you certainly do not need to do the original in order to do this one. If you do, it's just the Gummy Bears soaking in water experiment and following the steps of the Scientific Method to conduct said experiment. It wasn't one I created, rather it was one that I

So, I am using this as a digital agenda/weekly checklist for my students this year. I have one for each class (I teach middle school science and I have 4 classes this year). I have this posted on Google Classroom as material that they will be able to access and see what assignments they have coming up.

I created a cut and paste activity for my students last year. I just updated it a bit for this year so it will fit in their notebooks a bit better. I would have them cut & paste as we go through the notes via slideshow. I also have an activity for them to actually practice the steps of the Scientific Method after notes. All of these can be found on my tpt in a bundle for the Scientific Method.

At Home Energy Scavenger Hunt

I created this scavenger hunt activity for my students to do at home during this distance learning time. They follow the clues to find 6 different things around their house and they have to state what the thing is and what types of energy it has while in use or while being still. There is also an answer key provided. This could go hand in hand with the Energy Slide Show Notes I have on my store as well!

Calendar

I needed to have a calendar to pencil in my schedule. I had this idea to have themed sheets, print them, and either laminate them or stick them in some sheet protectors. This way they are reusable! The idea came to me because I was looking up calendars on Amazon and some dry erase ones for the fridge came up and I though "Why are there no dry erase ones to travel with? Why not have more environmentally friendly options like that?" So, I got to work creating this blank calendar. You just write in
