Fill the Tank - Turn Any Worksheet into a Game

Created by
Smith Math
This PowerPoint turns any worksheet or review packet into a game. Students work in teams to fill their tank by correctly completing sections of problems. Each team that has a full tank at the end of class wins (and usually receives bonus points on their upcoming test in my class)! Even if a team's tank gets filled before class is over, they must keep playing because their tank can be partially drained by other teams.

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching high school math for 13 years in an urban classroom.

Teaching style

Beginning with the mindset that all students can learn math, even those who struggle with it, I have proceeded to tackle the tough question: How do I best organize my classroom and lessons to make this happen? The most natural teaching style for me is one characterized by efficiency and structure. I am always looking for ways to better explain concepts and clearer ways to organize complicated information.
