This product contains a very diverse card sort activity. The entire card sort is made up of matching the words, equation, table, graph, and constant of proportionality. Vocabulary is a main focus when talking about the common core standards. This unit uses 22 vocabulary words associated with units taught for expressions and equations. There are different activities to do to that will help students learn the key vocabulary needed to help in mastering their work with expressions and equations. In order for students to translate word phrases or word problems into algebraic expressions they must first know some key words/phrases to help them determine which operation to use.
