This is a great PowerPoint Presentation for the beginning of the year in a foreign language program. It is not language specific, so it will work form French, Spanish, German, etc. teachers! It takes about 15 minutes to complete the entire PowerPoint. The PowerPoint is editable, but keep in mind, it may be difficult to edit because of the format of some slides. Although students are trying to master a foreign language, orally speaking in the target language is too often put to the wayside because of logistics. Most of us don't have the space of finances for a digital language lab and we certainly don't have enough time for 30 one-on-one daily conversations. Google Voice is a free tool that can be used to create a (limited) digital language lab. Students can use Google Voice to practice and become more comfortable speaking in the target language.
