Project: A Visit to the Doctor
Objective—Students will use vocabulary dealing with parts of the body and illness in a doctor-patient dialogue. Students will have to describe a pain in different parts of their bodies in Spanish. They will also have to describe any medical problems, which they might have.

Spanish Class Restaurant Project
PROYECTO: EN EL RESTAURANTE
Objetivo: Write and present a scene that would take place at a restaurant (in Spanish of course!). In your groups of 2-5, begin brainstorming your scene. Will the scene take place at breakfast, lunch or dinner? What type of restaurant will it be? What will be the topic of conversation? Write a script. Be sure it has a clear beginning, middle & end. Remember, all members of the group must speak equal amounts of time throughout the skit.

Students will create their own Spanish diamante poem, an unrhymed seven-line poem. The beginning and ending lines are the shortest, while the lines in the middle are longer, giving diamante poems a diamond shape.

Practice Game for reviewing Telling Time and Conjugating Ser
This is a Keynote presentation (can be opened in Powerpoint) intended to review telling time in Spanish and conjugating the verb Ser. It includes pictures and multiple choice questions.
Instructions: Split students into groups of four. Teams will compete to answer questions correctly. Tea, with the most points at the end of the game gets extra credit on the next quiz.

In this e-learning district, teachers are asked to use the tools available to them to enhance student’s connection to real world and life skills.
Teaching style
In my classroom, I strive to provide students with as much comprehensible input as possible, enabling them to draw their own conclusions from the language. Therefore I solely teach using the target language. I try to create an environment where my students feel comfortable to take chances. I hold in high regards the values of community while simultaneously celebrating diversity within classroom culture. As a facilitator of learning, the basis of my classroom philosophy is to provide an atmosphere featuring open discussions where students are encouraged to use exploratory talk and writing to expand their visions and learning philosophies. Therefore, I encourage my students to express their ideas and opinions, question, explore, experiment, and research to better understand the world around them. Lastly, I push my students to draw connections to their own lives, and strive to communicate more than facts and knowledge with students.
