Worksheets 3 and 4 go with the modified more difficult experiment with added steps. Depending upon the ability level of your student, you can choose the worksheet with space for written and picture observations or picture only. Chromotography Experiment

These are two easy "chromatography" science experiments. I generally do the first experiment, which involves black markers and coffee filters, in the winter. When I am done with this experiment, the students make snowflakes out of their dried coffee filters and display them in the room. The second experiment is a slight "twist" on the 1st. Instead of markers, black jelly beans are used. This is a fun way to reinforce chromatography/colors during spring or Easter.

This science experiment can be used for SPED students, CAPA level I and II. A general ed. K-2 student could also do this lab. This is a hands-on experiment that can be a little messy, but the kids love it!

This is a simple experiment that can help start the conversation about tolerance and prejudice. The oranges can be compared to people. The decorated oranges are different on the outside but the same on the inside, like people. This experiement can be used when studying "Black History Month", "Womens Rights", tolerance, prejudice and potentially bullying.

Clean Hands Experiment

This is an easy hands-on experiment to do when introducing the Scientific Method, during life science instruction and/or when teaching hygiene. When my class does this experiment, I take pictures of the before (dirty hands) and after (one hand washed with water and the other with soap and water). I display the pictures with the experiment write-up on my science bulletin board. It's dirty but lots of fun! I have included a 4th page so that you can input your own number results and graph.
