I have taught for 15 years in a center-based special education school. My students range from 9 to 15 years of age, and have moderate cognitive impairments as well as moderate to severe physical impairments. Most of my products will be created for these students, and many will also be appropriate for typically-developing pre-K through first graders.

Olympic Themed Roll and Cover Games
Just in time for the 2012 Summer Olympics, here are some Olympic-themed roll and cover games. Included are 2 basic (one dice) games, 2 addition (two dice) games, and 2 subtraction (two dice) games. Use for math centers during summer school or when you return to school in August!
For each game, students roll one or two dice and cover the number, sum or difference until all the spaces on their board are covered. Can be used as a partner "race" game, as well, with the "winner" the child who covers

Germs Clothespin Counting Activity
This is a printable counting activity for math centers or individual practice, great during a unit on germs/health. Students must count the number of germ pictures on each card, then clip a clothespin or other marker to the corresponding numeral. Includes cards for numbers 1 through 12.
Skills addressed are: counting 1-12, numeral recognition, and fine motor (pincer grasp).
