Restaurant Budgeting Worksheet

This is a budgeting worksheet for use with any students working on community access skills, percentages, or other life skills math skills. I have used this with a variety of students when planning for eating out at a restaurant and for practice during functional academics. This is an editable .docx file to allow for the addition of your state/local taxes as needed, removal or addition of meal courses or categories, or other edits. Enjoy!

Goal Setting and Planning One-Pager

A simple but effective one-pager for students to set attainable goals, including a page with definitions and steps for success. My students use this to set and plan for short-term (1-2 month) goals as part of their classwork. We check in weekly as a group on progress, give each other advice, and use class time to work on our goals when possible. The staff participate also. This is not a SMART goal activity, however some SMART goal aspects are included as general goal-setting methods. This was

All About Me First Day Activity

This All About Me activity is great for a first day of school activity! Students can write, draw, or paste pictures on this 11"X17" activity. This is also great for younger students or older students with special needs who need visual supports. When all students complete this activity, they look great together on a wall about your class. I also have students share their work with the class so that everyone can get to know each other. It is also a great resource for teachers to get to know

Goals for Independence

This worksheet can be used alongside transition and self-determination curriculum. It works as a stand alone activity, or as an introduction to goal settings. I use this as part of my introduction to Transition and Independence. Students identify areas in their life that they need help with and ways they can become more independent in these areas. I send a copy home to parents so they are aware of their student's goals and can assist at home. Enjoy!

What I like about Spring

This is a printable flower pot, stems, and leaves for use as part of a spring lesson. If printed on colored paper, only the outline of the pot, stems, leaves, and text will print. In my class, we used Boardmaker visuals or wrote about the things we love about spring following a lesson about the season. We then cut and pasted the pot, stems, and leaves onto a larger piece of paper and created flowers by gluing tissue paper and cupcake liners. If you have Boardmaker online, the visuals we used

IEP and Student Info Cheat Sheet

I use this for myself, my students, and my staff in order to have a organized and clear place for all the most important parts of the student's IEP. My transition-aged student's use this to keep track of their own IEP goals, look at their accommodations and modifications, and remind themselves of the vision they created. Additionally, there is space for behavior strategies, reminders, and student personal goals, a place for notes, and a communications log. I use this for my own caseload binder,

What I love about

This is a template and cut and paste visuals for students to complete about their classmates, friends, or family. Students can be assigned a person in the class or family member and then identify traits that they love about that person. For students that can write or draw, they can do so directly in the heart. For those who cannot, I included some examples of traits. This activity is great for Valentine's day or as part of a greater lesson on love, feelings, positivity, etc.
