This bundle includes three levels of Ohm's Law investigations using PHeT;s circuit construction kit. The Inquiry based level is for more advanced students, and directs them to gather data and determine the relationships between voltage and current and between voltage and resistance. This activity requires students to match the energy transformation with the action. You will need to cut along the solid lines and give each group a set. This works best with small groups. (I usually keep the strips in baggies to re-use) This is a good formative assessment for energy transformations

This lab uses PheT's circuit construction kit and allows the students to determine the relationships between voltage, current, and resistance. The Basic level provides more detailed explanations and gives the students a starting point for their data tables

Similar to the other Energy Transformations activity, this is a matching activity, with pictures instead of written actions. I have found pictures can work better for ELL or SWD students. Cut along the solid lines and distribute to small groups of students. (I usually keep them in a baggie to re-use)

Similar to the General Wave Properties lab, but with more detailed instructions and advice. This lab helps students explore the relationship between wavelength and frequency, and the relationship between amplitude and energy of a simple wave. This lab requires the students use a rope or some other device to create waves, a timing device (or video capture technology) and a meterstick/ruler. I HIGHLY recommend they create the waves horizontally on the floor, with both ends held/secured. This work
